At first, I was encouraged by the dozens of web sites offering "free" bath salt recipes for salts. I downloaded a bunch of them, and was really excited at the prospect of making my own salts -- not just for me, but for my family and friends, too.

Until I got started...

...That's when I discovered a couple of unfortunate things about almost every online bath salts recipe.

First, every site offered the same small handful of tired recipes! There was no variety and the blend of fragrances that the few existing recipes contained were just awful!

Even worse -- the instructions that came with the recipes were so bad, my results weren't just disappointing, they were downright ridiculous! For example...

My experiments with free Internet salt recipes were a disaster! My brother still laughs about the time I made the bath tub turn bright red -- for a week! Definitely not my personal favorite was the hard, round clump of bath salts I ended up with that would have been more useful at a bowling alley then in a bathroom! ;-) And then there was the time a chemical reaction I definitely wasn't expecting -- and the recipe definitely didn't warn me about -- blew the cork right off the bottle!

It soon became very clear to me that some sites I got free recipes from, although well meaning, had not done their homework!
